SOLVED ISSUES WITH DROP IN REVENUE

A Taco Bell Franchisee in the Northeast saw a drop in revenue on Friday and Saturday nights. The owner parked across the street on a Friday night to observe the store. At 11pm he witnessed the employees turning off signage and parking lot lights several hours before closing.

The Director of Facilities for a Dunkin' Donuts franchisee on the East Coast was driving past one of their stores early in the morning and saw all the exterior lights were off during store hours before sunrise. He went in and asked the staff about it, they said they got too busy, so they turned off the lights to slow business down.
